Parkland® Wood Blinds vs. EverWood® Faux Wood Blinds

When you want to bring charm, warmth, and elegance to your windows, you can’t miss with wood blinds. Unfortunately, wood blinds are not moisture-resistant and may exceed your budget. If you’re unsure whether Parkland® Wood Blinds or EverWood® Faux Wood Blinds are right for you, the AAA Blind & Shade Factory team is here to help.

Comparing Wood and Faux Wood Blinds

Appearance

If you are looking to enhance the warmth of the spaces in your home, Hunter Douglas Parkland® Wood Blinds offers real wood with rich colors. If you are looking for something with greater performance, you can choose EverWood® Faux Wood Blinds for your home, you can rest assured their appearance is just as natural and rich as real wood blinds.

Moisture Resistance

Parkland® Wood Blinds are resistant to moisture but can warp and crack following prolonged moisture exposure. For humid spaces like bathrooms or kitchens, we suggest EverWood® Faux Wood Blinds, as their alternative materials stand up better to long term, high level moisture exposure.

Weight

Wood is much lighter than faux wood. If you’re covering large windows, Parkland® Wood Blinds may be the better choice, as their lighter weight over such a large expanse of glass will lead to a much easier-to-adjust window treatment when compared to faux wood options.

Insulation

Natural wood offers slightly higher insulation levels at the window than faux wood, but the difference is negligible. When insulation is the question, you can answer it with your preference for wood or faux wood; no compromises are needed either way.

Color Selection

Both types of blinds are available in over 50 stains and solid paint finishes. Come and see us for the full range of possible colors and finishes.
